Current statistics indicate that more than half of all our job openings require at least a high school diploma or higher education. As a result, CLTCC is working hard to lower the number of individuals in Louisiana without a high school diploma.
Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) is proud to offer Adult Basic Education (ABE) to help individuals obtain their high school equivalency diploma.
The HiSet exam is required by the State of Louisiana in order to show mastery of basic skills. Earning a high school equivalency credential shows that you have high-school-level academic skills. It can help open the door to a better job or career, and a college education.
Step 1: Your first step towards earning your high school equivalency credential is to use our diagnostic tests to find out your preparation level. Learn more about our diagnostic tests.
Step 2: If your diagnostic tests indicate that you’re not ready and need to build your basic skills in reading, writing, or math, you can use our skill-building practice sets and helpful tutorials to get up to speed. Learn more about our skill-building resources.
Step 3: When you’re ready dive into preparing for the GED® test, HiSET®, and TASC™, use the full-length practice tests and helpful tutorials to help ensure you get great scores.
