Online Reference Materials

What is a Reference material?

Reference books are also called "non-circulating books"This means they cannot be checked out.  They are  available to use as much as you want in the library, but you can't take them home. They are usually books you just need to "refer" to for certain information, but don't read cover-to-cover.

Good reference information can be found on web sites affiliated with regionally accredited hospitals and government agencies such as:

  • Center for Disease Control (CDC)
  • Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
  • CINAHL nursing database
  • Proquest Nursing and Allied Health Databases
  • e-Books that you can download to your IPAD or smart phone.
